Hajiya Dada, the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua, has passed away at the age of 102 after a protracted illness. Her demise was announced by one of her sons, Suleiman Musa-Yar'adua, on Monday in Katsina.
Hajiya Dada was a matriarch of the Yar'adua family and left behind a legacy of many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Among her notable sons is Senator Abdulaziz Musa-Yar'adua, who represents Katsina Central Senatorial District.
Her funeral prayer is scheduled to take place today Tuesday the 3rd of September 2024 at 1:30 p.m. The family and friends of the late Hajiya Dada will gather to pay their respects and bid her farewell.
Hajiya Dada's passing marks the end of an era, and she will be remembered for her strength and wisdom in raising a family that has contributed significantly to Nigeria's politics and development.
