Okigwe Zone unites to succeed Uzodimma.
... passes confidence vote on Governor.

The people of Okigwe Zone in Imo State on Saturday 1st February,2025 held stakeholders meeting at the country home of High Tony Chukwu(Onweghihekariri Chineke),Umueze 1,Ehime Mbano Council Area of the State.
The meeting was aimed at uniting forces so as to ensure that someone from the Zone succeeds Governor Hope Uzodimma come 2027 Imo State Governorship election and need to be UNITED in pursuing DEVELOPMENTAL agenda at all times.
The meeting was attended by non partisan men, women, youths and representatives of diverse groups and institutions across the six Local Government Areas of the Zone.
Communique raised after the meeting read;
1. That the peace, unity and common good of Ndi Okigwe shall at all times remain paramount over individual interests and personal considerations.
2. That the people of Okigwe Zone are united in their unflitching support for the 3R Administration of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, for his unquantifiable and verifiable love for the people of Okigwe Zone, demonstrated over time through strategic appointments and self-evident development strides. Hence, that the people of Okigwe SHALL continue to do everything to sustain the existing massive infrastructural developments and robust paradigm shift, going on in the State, under the mantra of Shared Prosperity Government
3. That the DEVELOPMENT of Okigwe Zone shall from now be the top priority of Ndi Okigwe for public benefit and wealth creation.
4. That all Okigwe sons and daughters are encouraged to play active roles, abiding by fair play within any political party of their choice, while maintaining excellent relationships with our brother zones of Owerri and Orlu.
5 . That it is significant to note that a review of the second term election of His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, clearly shows that Okigwe zone gave our amiable governor the highest number of votes to enhance his resounding victory. Thus, that our people with humility aver that Justice and fairness demand that Okigwe zone be considered to occupy Imo Douglas House come January 14th, 2028. This proposition is further corroborated by His Excellency the governor's promise prior to the election that any zone that gives him the highest number of votes would succeed him come 2028.
6.The high point of the event was the overwhelming vote of confidence given to His Excellency the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma by Ndi Okigwe, in a motion moved by Chief Engr. Mark Uchendu and seconded by Ozo Barr. Charles Ezekwem (Ikemba) and Amb Eddy Onuoha respectively.
7..Finally, the meeting expressed its resolve to continuously work with harmony and love in its engagement with various groups and other zones in the State; while enjoining all Imolites to embrace one another and make our dear State greater".
