The 2023 women August meeting in Mbaitoli ended in grand style with the theme " women supporting each other, makes things happen".
The wife of the sole administrator of Mbaitoli Local government Area, Mrs. Christine Opara who is the host of this year's August meeting expressed the women's resolve to support the shared prosperity government of Senator Hope Uzodimma in the forthcoming November 11, Governorship election in imo state.
Lady Opara stated while speaking at the grand finale of the epoch making event held at Mbaitoli Council head quarters last weekend. She said that the people's Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma have the full support of Mbaitoli people and urged all hands to be on deck to ensure victory for Hope Uzodimma come November 11 Governorship election.
Speaking on the topic, women supporting each other, makes things happen, she submitted that August meeting is an igbo women's gathering to harmonize their ideas,
showcase intelligence in contributing to community development in different parts of Igbo land. She thanked the wife of the Governor, Lady Barrister Chioma Uzodimma for supporting the women in this year's August meeting and for choosing the theme of the meeting and appealed to the women to utilize all they have learnt in their various homes and villages .
" I admire your courage in supporting gender equality in leadership, Not only did you bring women into power, you also brought it home. We are also proud to see a fellow woman as running mate to our distinguished Governor Hope Uzodimma for the November 11 Governorship election this year" she joyfully expressed.
