The Imo State Professional Photographers and Videographers Association of Nigeria (ISPPAN) has appealed to the public to patronize them fully in order to enable them to remain strong in the media trade in the state. This appeal was made by the State Chairman of ISPPAN, Comr. Onyeahialam Chibueze Lovers-Multimedia, during the celebration of the 2025 World Photography Day, held at Citi Chef, Rockview Lane, Owerri.
The Chairman stated that members of ISPPAN, who have been rendering quality services to the people despite the biting economic situation in the state, want the residents of Imo State, particularly those in government, to always seek their services. This, he said, would create admissible grounds that will boost their businesses and enhance their success.
Onyeahialam charged the members to continue to exhibit professionalism, civility, and diplomacy, and to upgrade and equip themselves with modern tools. He also emphasized the importance of being relevant on social media to advance prosperity. Under his watch, the association has gained significant milestones, including magazine production, renting of a studio secretariat, and organizing capacity-building workshops to enhance members' careers.
The association partners with government, security agents, and other stakeholders in the state to smoothen their operations and promote public appeal. The Chairman saluted the zeal and commitment of members in pushing the association forward and rendering good service to the public.
The event featured the launching of a three million naira secretariat renting and studio set-up fund raising/empowerment, which was attended by representatives from the Police, Civil Defence, and Federal Road Safety Corp. Chinedu Igwe, Staff Public Education Officer, FRSC, Imo State, advised photographers and videographers to prioritize their safety while working, especially when capturing traffic scenes.
ISPPAN used the occasion to award distinguished persons who have contributed significantly to the sustenance of the trade and lifting humanity. The awardees included Prince Francis Maduba (Oluimo), Chinedu Igwe (FRSC), Ngozi Olehi (SAN), Hon. Joel Okere, Hon. Chijioke Kadura (philanthropist), Augustine Oriaku, and Ogbuehi Emmanuel.
Photography celebrity and ISPPAN active member, Hon. Dozie Nwoko, praised the awardees, describing them as good humans who have made significant contributions to humanity. The event was a testament to the association's commitment to promoting excellence and professionalism in the field of photography and videography.
The public's support is crucial to the success of ISPPAN and its members. By patronizing their services, the public can help promote the growth and development of the media industry in Imo State. As ISPPAN continues to strive for excellence, it is expected that their efforts will have a positive impact on the lives of photographers and videographers in the state.

With the support of the public and the commitment of its members, ISPPAN is poised for a bright future.
