The executives and entire members of Umueze Family Meeting Owerri Branch have expressed their profound gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for presenting their new Traditional Ruler, His Royal Majesty, Akaraka III, Eze Dr. Divine Nwandu, with the staff of office. The family members noted that the community had been without a ruler for over ten years after the demise of Akaraka II, Senator Isidore Obasi.
In a statement signed by Mr. Godwin O. Ehieze, Chairman, and Cyprian Chinedu Anyanwu, CMA Secretary, the family commended the governor for his sensitivity to their plight and for choosing a young, able, and dynamic leader to guide the Ihitteaforukwu people.
The family members congratulated Eze Dr. Nwandu on his emergence and successful presentation of the staff of office, describing the unprecedented turnout at the civic center as a testament to the community's dire need for a traditional ruler. They assured the monarch of their unalloyed support and allegiance, praising his maiden speech, which anchored on justice, transparency, and the welfare of the people.
"We will always pray for you to the Almighty God to provide you with His angelic soldiers for unbroken chain of protection and solomonic wisdom to rule and lead the Ihitteaforukwu people better than your predecessors," the statement read.
The family members concluded by congratulating Eze Dr. Nwandu once more, wishing him a successful reign, and expressing their commitment to supporting him in his new role.
