This development follows Deputy Speaker Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu's motion, highlighting the governor's achievements and leadership capacity since taking office in January 2020 ¹.

Governor Uzodimma's Achievements

The motion acknowledged the governor's numerous achievements and leadership capacity since assuming office on January 15, 2020, and re-election on January 14, 2024. Key achievements include:
- *Road Revolution*: Quality road infrastructure connecting Owerri/Orlu, Owerri/Okigwe, and ongoing Owerri/Umuahia roads.
- *Power Supply*: Urashi Electricity Project to provide 24-hour uninterrupted power.
- *Elders Forum*: Active Imo State Elders Forum addressing state issues.
- *Traditional Rulers*: Honoring traditional rulers, unlike past administrations.
- *Civil Servants*: Luxurious buses for daily transport and regular salary payments.
- *Imo State House of Assembly Complex*: Renovated and equipped complex, now the best in the country.
- *Health Insurance Scheme*: Successful implementation in 27 local government areas.
- *Health Facilities*: 1335 functional health facilities, ranking Imo 4th nationally.

Lawmakers' Praise

Twelve lawmakers made valuable contributions in support of the motion, praising the governor's excellent performance in his first and second terms. They noted that Governor Uzodimma has:

- Attracted visible and invisible projects to the state.
- Trained thousands of Imo youths through the Skill-up Imo Project.
- Completed quality projects, including hospitals, conference centers, and road dualization.
- Upgraded educational and healthcare institutions.

The motion was seconded by Majority Leader Kanayo Onyemaechi and co-sponsored by 20 lawmakers, including opposition members. Speaker Chike Olemgbe adopted the motion unanimously, directing the Clerk to communicate the resolution to the Governor ¹.
