*Security Forces Conduct Show of Force Amidst IPOB/ESN Threats*

Owerri, Imo State - The Imo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Armed Forces and other security agencies, is conducting Show of Force operations and Confidence Building Patrols across the state.
This move is in response to alleged threats posed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), concerning their unlawful Sit-At-Home directives scheduled for October 21st and 22nd, 2024.
*Enhanced Security Measures*
Starting today, October 19th, and continuing through October 23rd, security personnel will enhance visibility policing through these patrols. Additionally, detectives will conduct reconnaissance operations to gather actionable intelligence.
*Public Urged to Remain Calm*
The Command urges citizens to remain calm and vigilant, continuing their daily activities while being mindful of their surroundings. Any suspicious activity should be reported to the nearest police station or via the command's emergency line at 08034773600.
