LP DUMPS ABURE, SETS UP TRANSITION COMMITEE

The Embattled national Chairman of Labour Party Barrister Julius Abure has finally being dumped by the party and a caretaker committee constituted to run the affairs of the party nation wide for a period of three months.

In a communique released from a stakeholders meeting held in Abuja on Monday 8th April 2024, by the political commission of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), a vote of no confidence was thereby passed on Abure and his purported Nnewi national convention and the officers produced in the convention.

Also in the communique, the transition committee was mandated to set up the  party's structure at the ward level with a task of recovering of party properties, revalidation of party membership  as well as registration and issuance of membership card to new members.

The National team of Obedient movement made of Professor Theophilus Ndubuaku, Comrade Abdulwahed Omar, Comrade S.O.Z Ejiofor, Engineer Gambo Daniel Balarabe, Dr. Moses Paul and others further mandated the newly constituted transition committee which membership will soon made public to organize an all inclusive Congress and a national convention within their tenure of three months.
