Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has unveiled his second batch of Commissioner Nominees list, comprising four individuals,and is slated for screening today 22nd of March 2024 by the Imo State House of Assembly,
Governor Uzodimma had previously forwarded 12 Commissioner Nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening a few weeks ago. Now, the new batch of nominees includes Hon. Mrs Rubby Emele, the immediate former commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs,Barrister COC Akaolisa, the immediate former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General; Honorable Engineer Ikenna Elezieanya, the immediate past Federal House of Representatives member for Owerri Federal Constituency; and one other individual, former Imo Commissioner for Finance, Honorable Dr. Chucky Chukwuemeka.
These nominees are scheduled for screening at the Imo State House of Assembly in Owerri today Friday, March 22nd, 2024.
Meanwhile, imoedgenews Crew, who visited the Imo Assembly Complex today at about 12:00 pm, confirmed the presence of Barrister COC Akaolisa ,Hon.Rubby Emele and Dr. Chucky Chukwuemeka at the Imo Assembly premises, as they made themselves available for screening.
However, at approximately 1:11 pm, some members of the House of Assembly, during their session, had prepared to ensure the nominees were screened, marking an emergency legislative exercise from the Executive.
