The capital of Benue State, Makurdi, has seen a mishap involving a Nigerian Air Force FT-7NI trainer plane.
Imoedgenews gathered that the incident took place on Friday evening during a routine training session.
This was confirmed in a statement released on Friday by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the NAF's director of public relations and information.
Two of the aircraft's pilots, he claimed, made it out alive and were being watched in a military facility.
Fortunately, the two pilots were able to successfully parachute from the aircraft and survived the collision.
Additionally, there were no fatalities or property losses in the vicinity of the hit.
At the NAF Base Hospital in Makurdi, "both pilots are now under examination. A Board of Inquiry has been established by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, to ascertain the primary and indirect reasons of the incident, he added
