It was a day of joy, glamour, and celebration as Emeralds Schools Owerri held its graduation ceremony on Saturday at the Arts and Culture Complex Hall, Mbari. The event was marked by colorful displays of talent, heartfelt speeches, and the proud recognition of students' academic achievements.
The graduating students, dressed elegantly in cream-colored attire, received their certificates amidst cheers from teachers, parents, friends, and an array of distinguished guests who gathered to grace the occasion.
Speaking with journalists after the ceremony, Prince Uche Okeke, Group Executive Director of Jerapic Group International and son of Eze Imo, expressed immense pride and gratitude.
"My three children are graduating from Emeralds Schools today, and I am beyond happy," he said. "I’m grateful to God, and I believe the quality of education here justifies every naira spent. The school has truly impacted my children positively. Today, they were recognized with awards—not surprising, as excellence runs in the family. While I was in secondary school and university, I also won several awards. It’s not by power, but by the grace of God."
He added: "I encourage other parents to enroll their wards in this school. Emeralds knows how to deliver sound education, even as all knowledge ultimately comes from God. I commend the teachers and management for their excellent work and urge them to keep it up."
On behalf of the school, the School Administrator, Mrs. Monica Chukwu Amah, expressed her joy and satisfaction with the students' conduct and performance.
"We are delighted to see these children excel both academically and morally," she said. "Our teachers are incredibly proud of their achievements. My wish for all our graduands is that they continue to strive for excellence and be the best they can be."
She further emphasized the school’s mission: "Emeralds Schools located at No. 14 CHIEF CONLETH ANOKWU STREET Trans-Egbu Road, is committed to imparting knowledge and building character. We aim to nurture children academically, morally, and in every area of life."
The ceremony ended on a high note, with music, laughter, and the hopeful smiles of young graduates ready to take on the next chapter of their academic journey.
