OWERRI, IMO STATE - The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) recently organized a one-day Students Leadership Conference in Owerri, Imo State, themed "Transformative Leadership: Building Ethical, Effective and Impactful Leaders in Imo State". During the conference, NANS President, Comr. Olushola Ladoja, honored philanthropist and social media influencer, Hon. Engr. Chizitere Ahubelem, popularly known as Chizzy Whizzy, with the prestigious "Award of Distinguished Patron" for his generous support towards students in the state.
*Awardee's Remarkable Contributions*

Comr. Ladoja lauded Chizzy Whizzy's uncommon concerns and support towards students, stating that it had drawn the attention of NANS national leadership. "Your efforts have not gone unnoticed," he said, urging Chizzy Whizzy to continue his benevolence. The NANS President also charged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate Engr. Ahubelem's example. In a remarkable gesture, Comr. Ladoja proclaimed Engr. Ahubelem a Life Patron of the association, promising that NANS will always stand by him.

Comr. Chukwuemeka Chikere, Imo Chairman, NANS Stakeholders' Forum, highlighted some challenges facing tertiary institutions in the state, including shortage of hotels and deplorable access roads, especially the Obinze-FUTO Road. He called for government intervention, while hailing Governor Hope Uzodimma for his achievements in the state.
