The Director General of the Imo State Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Ms. Ify Onyeegbule, has described the recent speech delivered by the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, as both "inspiring and thoroughly evidence-based."

Speaking to journalists shortly after the governor's presentation at the Imo State House of Assembly on Tuesday, Onyeegbule commended the governor for articulating the state's achievements in clear and verifiable terms.

According to her, Governor Uzodimma’s address touched on critical developmental milestones achieved under his administration, especially in the areas of health, infrastructure, and media development.

> “In all honesty, what the governor presented today is not just political rhetoric — these are visible, verifiable accomplishments,” Onyeegbule emphasized.

She praised the introduction of the state-wide health insurance scheme and the establishment of clinics across the 305 wards, describing them as life-saving initiatives that would bring healthcare closer to the grassroots. She also highlighted the upgrade of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) and the construction of a dedicated Mother and Child Hospital as testament to the governor's deep concern for the well-being of citizens.

As a passionate advocate for public health, Onyeegbule expressed personal satisfaction with these efforts, noting that “access to first-aid services in every ward will drastically improve emergency care and reduce preventable deaths.”

The IBC Director General was particularly delighted by the governor’s mention of her organization during the address.

> “As someone who works in the media space, I was especially excited that the governor acknowledged the Imo Broadcasting Corporation and promised to revamp it,” she said. “This gives us hope that IBC will soon compete favourably with other state and national broadcasting platforms across Nigeria and beyond.”

Onyeegbule concluded by calling on the people of Imo State to rally behind Governor Uzodimma’s administration, noting that while no government is perfect, the current leadership deserves commendation and support for its numerous progressive initiatives.

> “It’s time for us as citizens to look beyond criticism and actively support what is good and beneficial to the state. Together, we can push Imo forward,” she said.

The governor’s address, widely praised for its substance and vision, is expected to further galvanize support for ongoing reforms across the state.
