IMO POLICE COMMAND TAKES MAJOR STEP TOWARDS PEACE IN ORSU

   By Ella Michaels

Imo State Police Command has taken a significant step towards strengthening security in Orsu with the commissioning of the newly renovated Orsu Divisional Police Headquarters. The event, which took place on March 25, 2025, was attended by key stakeholders, including Hon. Engr. Friday Ibekaeme, Executive Chairman of Orsu LGA, and Hon. Francis Uche Agabige, Member representing Orsu at the Imo State House of Assembly.

The renovated division, previously destroyed by criminal elements, boasts modern facilities, including barracks accommodations, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and personnel welfare. To ensure sustained security, the Command has deployed well-equipped personnel to work in synergy with the military, Department of State Services (DSS), and local vigilante groups.

Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, commended Sir Terry Onyejiaku for rebuilding the division as part of his corporate social responsibility. Danjuma assured residents of the state government's commitment to restoring lasting peace, urging displaced residents to return, and emphasizing that robust security measures are in place.

The Imo State Police Command urges the people of Orsu to support ongoing security efforts by cooperating with security agencies and reporting suspicious activities to the division or the Command's emergency lines 0803 477 3600.

With this development, the people of Orsu can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that their security is a top priority for the Imo State Police Command. The Command's efforts to restore peace and order in the area are a testament to their commitment to serving and protecting the community.

As the people of Orsu continue to work together with the Police Command and other security agencies, they can look forward to a brighter, safer future for themselves and their loved ones.
