In a significant move to enhance security in Imo State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, officially unveiled a newly constructed building for the CP's Desk Investigation Unit on February 14, 2025. This special investigative unit is tasked with curbing criminal activities within and outside the state metropolis.

The facility, constructed by Prince Stanley Nwakama, marks an important development in supporting the Command's efforts to enhance security in Imo State. Prince Nwakama commended CP Aboki Danjuma for his proactive approach and commitment to community policing, emphasizing that the construction of the facility was his way of contributing to the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the state.

In his address, CP Aboki Danjuma expressed deep gratitude to Prince Nwakama for his support in bringing the project to fruition. He unveiled the new facility on behalf of the 22nd indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. CP Danjuma reminded the CP's Desk Unit personnel of their duty to uphold the professional standards set by IGP Egbetokun, stressing the importance of integrity, adherence to the rule of law, and avoiding any conduct that could damage the force's reputation.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including the command's management team, Hon. Okereke Godson Bishop, the SA to the Governor on Rural Water Supply, and other distinguished guests. In closing, ASP Wilson offered a vote of thanks to Prince Nwakama and assured CP Danjuma that the unit would maintain the highest standards of professionalism in carrying out its duties.
