IMO STATE GOVERNOR INAUGURATES NEW COMMISSIONERS, CHARGES THEM TO DELIVER

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has inaugurated five new Commissioners, including Chief Barrister Enyinnaya Onuegbu, charging them to demonstrate the highest ethical standards in their duties. The Governor, who spoke at the inauguration ceremony held at the New Exco Chambers, Government House, Owerri, emphasized the importance of integrity and credibility in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Chief Barrister Enyinnaya Onuegbu, a renowned legal luminary, was inaugurated as one of the new Commissioners, alongside Prof Boniface G. Nworgu, Chief Kenneth Okafor, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Dr. Anthony Mgbeahuruike, and Dr. Elias Emedom. The Governor expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandate, urging them to work tirelessly to justify the trust reposed in them.

In his address, Governor Uzodimma reminded the inaugurated officials that their new positions require high ethical standards, integrity, and credibility. He warned against falsification of age, corruption, and other vices that can compromise the integrity of the government. The Governor emphasized that his administration is committed to industrialization, economic reforms, and programs that will place Imo State on the threshold of industrial revolution.

The Governor also inaugurated the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), Civil Service Commission (CSC), Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), and the Imo State Road Maintenance Agency (IROMA). The Governor charged the members of these commissions to work towards strengthening the capacity of his administration to deliver democracy dividends to Imo people.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by top government functionaries from the three arms of government, as well as critical stakeholders in the State. In their respective votes of thanks, the inaugurated officials pledged to uphold the highest standards of integrity and credibility in their duties, and to work tirelessly to deliver on their mandate.

Chief Barrister Enyinnaya Onuegbu, who spoke on behalf of the new Commissioners, thanked the Governor for finding them worthy of the positions. He promised that they will not disappoint the Governor's expectations and will work tirelessly to deliver on their mandate.

Also speaking, Prof Fr. Ogbonna, who chaired the IMSU and ISOPADEC nominees, thanked the Governor for finding them worthy of the appointments. He promised that they will do their best to live up to the reason they were found worthy for the assignment.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Governor Uzodimma's efforts to strengthen his administration and deliver on his campaign promises to the people of Imo State.
