*US Returnee Leads Robbery, Kills Uber Driver in Lagos*

A shocking incident has unfolded in Lagos, where a 21-year-old US returnee, David Segun, and three other suspects have been arrested for allegedly killing an Uber driver in Obalende. The suspects, including Emeka Akwara (19), Samuel Ariori (21), and Lukman Ariori (19), ordered an Uber ride from Chevron in Lekki to Obalende at midnight on Thursday, January 9.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Ishola Olanrewaju, the suspects robbed and killed the Uber driver by stabbing him multiple times in the neck in a lonely area of Obalende ,The police chief revealed that two suspects were immediately arrested by members of the community, while the other two were apprehended in the Chevron area.

Segun, described as the gang's leader, was sent back to Nigeria by his father due to his unruly behavior. The police commissioner expressed concern over the value of the vehicle, wondering what could have driven the suspects to take the life of the owner.

The suspects will face criminal prosecution starting Monday the 13th January 2025 ,The incident has sparked outrage, with many calling for justice and condemning the senseless killing. The Lagos State Police Command has assured that intelligence-led policing will continue to ensure public safety .
