Imo State has witnessed a gruesome start to the new year, with two separate incidents claiming the lives of a lawyer and a youth, and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
According to reports, Chinedu Nwowu, a lawyer based in Orlu, was brutally murdered by unknown gunmen on Wednesday evening in his hometown of Mgbidi, Oru West LGA. The attackers allegedly ambushed him, shooting him at close range.
