_IMO'S FINEST HONOURED: Dr. Chima Amadi Emerges Imo Man of the Year_

In a grand ceremony held at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Conference Centre in Abuja, Dr. Chima Amadi was conferred with the prestigious Imo Man of the Year Award by Nigeria Today Magazine. This recognition is a tribute to his outstanding contributions to human and community development initiatives, which have earned him numerous accolades and recognition across the nation.
The event, which was attended by dignitaries including Vice-President His Excellency Sen. Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and former Senate President His Excellency Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, was a celebration of excellence and achievement.
Dr. Amadi, a renowned social entrepreneur, human nutritionist, and human development expert, was represented at the occasion by a team of his political associates, including former federal legislator Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo Ugonna (OZB). In his acceptance speech, Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo described Dr. Amadi as a man with a "bouyant heart for charity and love for humanity" who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to touching lives positively and changing the leadership narrative through robust engagement.
The Outstanding Performance Awards (TOP AWARDS) 2024, organized by Nigeria Today Magazine, aim to honor and celebrate excellence, courage, expertise, integrity, and phenomenal achievements in various fields. Dr. Amadi's recognition alongside other notable awardees, including Nigerian Senate President H.E. Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Prof. Charles Soludo, and Governor Dikko Umar Radda, underscores the breadth of his influence and the universal impact of his initiatives.
Other notable awardees include Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for Agro-Industrialization, Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, as Activist of the Year, and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for Good Governance and Nation Building. Her Excellency, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, was also recognized as First Lady of the Year.
The event featured a keynote lecture by Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who emphasized the importance of strategic economic reforms in Nigeria's quest for sustainable development. The lecture highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in governance and the importance of aligning reforms with sustainable development goals.
