MBAITOLI LGA INAUGURATES NEW LEADERSHIP::: A NEW DAWN FOR PROSPERITY

October 15, 2024, marked a significant milestone in Imo State's history as 305 newly elected Councillors across 27 Local Government Areas were inaugurated simultaneously. The Mbaitoli LGA inauguration, presided over by Executive Council Chairman Hon. Ifunanya Lactus Nwanegwo, showcased exemplary leadership and legislative organization.

*A Flawless succession*
Comr. Princewill Osuagwu, Clerk of the Council, leveraged his extensive experience to ensure a seamless inauguration for Mbaitoli's 12 elected Councillors. Hon. Frank Ebube Onyeji, representing Afara/Eziama Ward, was appointed Leader of the Mbaitoli Council, while Hon. Collins Onyekachi Ogwuruike, representing Amaike Ward, assumed the role of Deputy Leader.

*Distinguished quests and officials present*

The event drew a large audience, including Imo State Deputy Governor Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, Hon. Engr. Innocent Ikpamezie, member of the Imo State House of Assembly, and Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo (Marcon), Apex Leader of APC in Mbaitoli/Ikeduru. Hundreds of residents from Mbaitoli's 12 Wards also attended, marking the occasion as a momentous gathering.

*Chairman Nwanegwo's Vision*
In his inaugural address, Chairman Nwanegwo expressed optimism about his administration, emphasizing a collaborative partnership with his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Ijeoma Rose Onyeji. He introduced the "New Face Agenda," aiming to "Boost Shared Prosperity" for Mbaitoli residents. Nwanegwo reaffirmed his commitment to Imo State's Executive Governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma's "3R Mantra" and outlined a comprehensive 6-point agenda:

- *Infrastructure Development*
- *Educational Advancement*
- *Agricultural Enhancement*
- *Technological Integration*
- *Healthcare Accessibility*
- *Security of Lives and Properties*

Nwanegwo urged Councillors to work collaboratively to fulfill Mbaitoli's prosperity aspirations, reinforcing their role as lawmakers in the Third Tier of Government. He pledged to improve Mbaitoli's quality of life, encouraging Councillors to enact favorable legislation for their constituents.

*A Commitment to Community Development*

The Councillors vowed to provide quality legislative leadership while appealing for continued support from their constituents for the administration's initiatives in Mbaitoli and throughout Imo State. This inauguration marks the beginning of a new legislative session and heralds a commitment to community development and effective governance in Mbaitoli LGA.
