Peaceful protest is a cornerstone of democracy, and it's essential to exercise this right without resorting to violence. Let's make it clear: protest is not riot, and agitation is not bad. However, it's crucial to distinguish between peaceful protest and destructive behavior like stealing and killing.
As we stand up for our rights from today the 1st day of August 2024 in imo state and Nigeria as a whole, let's demonstrate to the world that we can do so without compromising our values. I wish us a successful and peaceful agitation, and may we be protected and guided by the creator of the universe, our forefathers, ancestors, goddesses, and the earth.
May our voices be heard, and may our message be clear: we demand change, but we will achieve it through peaceful means. Let's rise up and show the world the power of non-violent resistance!"
