The Former Imo House of Assembly Members (FOMIHA) have expressed their profound grief and sadness over the passing of their colleague, Hon. Dr. Prince Steve Orji (Okeosisi), a former House of Assembly Member for Orlu Constituency, who sadly passed away on March 23, 2024.

In a statement, the President of FOMIHA, Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, lamented the loss of the political leader, describing it as a colossal loss not only to Orlu zone but to the entire Imo State. He praised late Orji as a patriotic political leader and champion of progress, whose tenure as a legislator was marked by significant achievements, visible impacts, and peace, development, and prosperity in the Orlu Constituency.

Hon. Nzekwe acknowledged the immense contributions of late Orji to FOMIHA, describing them as rewarding, pronounced, and impactful. He added that the former Imo House of Assembly Members will greatly miss his excellent features and characteristics.

"He was a frontline politician, a pathfinder, and an intellectually forthright personality who sowed great seeds and left standing legacies. We shall greatly miss his goodness and excellent characteristics," Hon. Nzekwe said.

FOMIHA extended their sympathy and prayers to the immediate family of late Dr. Steve Orji, the people of Umuagi Ihioma in Orlu LGA, and the Imo political family, who have been thrown into mourning by his passing.

"May God grant him eternal rest and give succour to the many admirers he left behind," the statement concluded.
