Imo State Commissioner for Local Government Area and Chieftency Affairs, Chief Mrs. Ruby Emele, has urged aspirants and party leaders to approach the council polls with fairness and morality.

Reacting on the conducts of the Party Leadership and Aspirants Complaints, She emphasized that the elections are a “brotherly” and clan-based affair, with some areas having a rotational system for power sharing formula between villages and communities.

Chief Mrs Ruby  Emele advised all the aspirants to plan and budget for the election expenses, as the process requires significant funding.

She noted that harmonized wards and LGAs may have an easier process, with support and chances of emergence, but warned against borrowing excessively, as it may lead to financial difficulties.

” You know that no election is easy and this time around, things are also hard let the Aspirants set out the money for the purposes of the election aside and never go into excessive borrowing because of its prevalent challenges of paying back. Let them hope, trust and beliefs in God by hoping only on the “King Maker” (Chukwu na eme Eze), for their interest and success at the polls. I’m wishing them well and urging the State party leadership to handle this affairs with utmost fairness and transparency”.
