The commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Rubby Emele, and members of her Grassroot Movement in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State have thrown their weight behind the reelection bid of the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, in the upcoming governorship election in November.
In a communique jointly signed by the group's coordinators in Isiala Mbano ward namely, Udochukwu Obinna for Ibeme ward, Ikechukwu Onuoha for Umuorzu ward, Nnamdi Njoku for Obollo ward, Ebere Iwunze for Ogbor ward, Iwuoha Justice for Amuzari ward, Macdonald Onyeka for Umunkwo ward, Stanley Ibe for Amaraku ward, Emeka Ogbonna for Osuachara ward, Emmanuel Iwuji for Osuowerre ward 2, Onyebuchi Chukwuman for Osuowerre ward 1, Tochukwu Okeoma for Osuama/Añara ward, Uchechukwu Ashiegbu, Coordinator/Ugiri/Oka ward and Kelechi Uzoma who is the facilitator the group said they prefer Sen. Hope Uzodinma because of his passion for developing the state.
The release reads," We the members of Ruby Emele Grassroot Movement hereby declare total support for Governor Hope Uzodinma for his Second tenure as Governor of Imo State.
"To assure their mentor and Principal, Honorable Ruby Emele that they have adopted her Boss, Governor Hope Uzodinma as their sole candidate in the forthcoming November 11 2023 Governorship election in Imo State to continue the good work he is doing for another four years.
"They are convinced that Governor Hope Uzodinma is the most qualified candidate to pilot the affairs of Imo state from his performances in his first tenure. They stated that any other person aside from Governor Uzodinma would be a novice and would need longer time to learn on the job which is not what Imo state needs at this time.
The superlative performance of Governor Hope Uzodinma with his signature projects in the three senatorial zones namely, Owerri, Orlu, and Okigwe speaks for itself especially the reconstruction of the Owerri/Orlu federal road, Owerri/ Okigwe road, and Owerri/ Mbaise/Umuahia road.
"The Ruby Emele group passed a vote of confidence on Governor Hope Uzodinma for all the wonderful work he is doing in Imo and maintained that he deserves more time to complete his good works.
"The group also put it on record that Their principal, Honorable Ruby Emele is also part of the success story as she works tirelessly with the good leadership of the party APC to move imo Forward.
They assured the entire Isiala Mbano, and Imo people in general that Ruby Emele's Grassroot Movement will not rest until Governor Hope Uzodinma's second term Bid is actualized.
