The Ohaji, Egbema and Oguta community security outfit " SAY NO TO CRIME" has assured the Imo state government of their readiness to combat crime in the November 11 2023 Governorship election in Imo state.
The commander of the security outfit Mr. Okoro Bossa said this while expressing his satisfaction on the achievement of outfit since it's establishment in the oil producing community. He noted that the return of peace and tranquility in the region was achieved by the galant security men.
Commander Bossa said that the formation of the outfit has dismantled terror groups liks ESN other militia groups terrorizing the Oil producing communities. He assured the oil producing areas of their readiness to ensuring peaceful and crime free election and the safety of the electorate and electoral empire, INEC.
He therefore appeal to the state government to empower the security outfit by providing operational vehicles and arms to enable them do their job effectively.
Also in line with his speech, the commander in charge of Oguta section, Orisa Anthony opined that some part of Oguta namely, Izombe, Ezi Orsu, Orso Obodiand Awa which was under siege by terrorist has been recovered since the formation of the security outfit in Oguta. He said that there is no more existence of unknown Gunmen in those areas.
He also appealed for government intervention in providing security apparatus to enable them continue their good work
Both commanders commended the police, and some of their political Big men like Rt. Honorable Goodluck Opia, Rt Hon.Eugene Dibiagwu and others for their total support which served as encouragement to them in combating crime in the area.
