The Nnanano autonomous community of Nkwere local government area in Imo state witnessed the presence of who is who in Imo state and beyond as their Late monarch, His Royal Majesty, Eze Ngozi Anyaehie was laid to rest .
Eze Ngozi Anyaehie popularly known as Imenyi of Nnanano autonomous community was the elder brother of Barrister Nnamdi Anyaehie, Chief of staff to Imo state house Owerri, died at the age of 76 and was interred on Saturday, 5th August 2023 after a funeral service at Saint Peter and Paul Anglican Church, Nkwere.
In his tribute, the Governor of Imo state Senator Hope Uzodinma who was represented by his wife Barr. Chioma Uzodimma described the Late Monarch as an embodiment of peace and a man of many parts and regretted that he died at a time when his services as a custodian and preserver of our customs is most needed and adviced the family to emulate his exampelary life. The Governor enjoyed them not to cry like people without hope and adviced them to hing their hope and trust on God.
In an interview with newsmen, the Imo State labour party candidate, Senator Arthan Achonu described death as a wicked end to humanity and confirmed that Eze Anyaehie imparted positively in lots of life and thereby earned himself good position in heaven and urged the bereaved family to sustain his legacies.
The 2019 AA Governorship candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, in his words described the Late Monarch Anyaehie as a father figure to him and also a close friend whom he benefited a lot from his words of wisdom. He said the Nkwere and entire Imo state has lost a rare gem.
The Chief of staff to Imo state government and the younger brother to the late Monarch Chief Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie in an interview with the press, described the Monarch's death as painful and irreplaceable. The younger sister, Janet Anyaehie said that the late Monarch was like a father to her for he started guiding her from the age of 10. She said described him like a good man and that they family will surely miss him. The other younger sister Ndidi Anyaehie who is the Chief Executive Of Umeadi Spa House works layout Owerri further stated that the late Monarch is one in a million that will be missed by the family and friends and described death as a transition from one realm of life to another and not necessarily an end to eternity.
Also present at the funeral of The late Nkwere Monarch are the deputy Governor Imo state, Professor Placid Njoku, The secretary to the state government Sir Cosmos Iwu, The Speaker Imo state house of Assembly Rt. Honorable Chike Olemgbe and deputy speaker Rt. Honorable Amara Iwuanyanwu. Present and Immediate past members of Imo state house of Assembly, Federal house member like Rt. Honorable Ugonna Ozuruigbo, Traditional rulers led by His Royal Majesty, Eze EC. Okeke, Ezeudo 11 of Amaifeke.
