Macdonald Ebere Calls For Collaboration in Combating Crime in Owerri Zone

....Emphasizes on partnership between traditional rulers and government to foster peace and security in the zone 




The Imo  APC State Chairman Honorable Macdonald Ebere, PhD, have charged the people  of Owerri Zone to work hand in clove within themselves in combating crime and insecurity in the state. 


The APC  chairman made the charge at a meeting of Owerri zone traditional rulers convened at Obi Ndi Eze, Mbari to address the issues of insecurity in the zone with the November 11 2023 governorship eelection in view he harped on importance of unity and collaboration among the stakeholders comprising of the traditional rulers in the zone led by HRH Eze Akujuobi Osuagwu( Ezikoche II of Awaka Ancient Kingdom). 

 Ebere commended the traditional rulers for their resilience even in the face of security challenges which affected most of their colleagues in recent times and adviced them to harness their collective strength to help the government in identifing these miscreants which will reduce or even eradicate insecurity within their communities.

Honorable Macdonald said that he is convinced that the traditional rulers are in a better position to partner with government in eradication of the security challenges that is eating up the state from the grassroot level and called on other leaders of opposition parties to jettison party differences and political sentiment but to prioritize the safety and well being of the people of Imo state regardless of their preferred candidate or part Ebere appealed to the traditional rulers to develop an innovative and proactive  strategies that will assist in curbing insecurity while acknowledging their efforts so far, he encouraged them to intensify with more commitment and corporate with the prosperity government in their bid to secure the lives and properties of people of Owerri zone in particular and Imo state in General.

Present at the meeting were Owerri zone traditional rulers and distinguished leaders from various political parties.
