The Imo state House of Assembly has formally adopted His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma , the Governor Imo State as the Sole Candidate for the oncoming November 11 2023 Governorship Election. The Motion for adoption was moved by the Member for Onuimo state constituency Honorable Chief James Uba Esile who explained that Governor Uzodimma has really exelled the expectations of all imolites in all ramifications. His Administrative and leadership qualities, his durable infrastructures, like roads and building projects with his good relationship with the workers of imo state has really made an indelible mark in the hearts of imo people.
The motion which was co sponsored by Hon. Ikenna ihezuo, Hon. Bernard Ozoemenam and Hon. Engr. Innocent ikechukwu ikpamezie was Seconded by the Deputy Majority Leader and Member representing Okigwe state constituency Rt Honorable Chief Samuel

According to Hon. Chief James Uba, All the deplorable road both state and federal in the state has been given proper attention since the inception of the Shared Prosperity Administration of Hope Uzodimma in January 2020, as the Governor of Imo state. He noted that before 2020, most markets in Imo state were not accessible due to bad roads. Farmers were finding it almost impossible to transport their product to the markets due to deplorable condition of our roads thus causing scarcity of food in the state. But as of today, Governor Uzodimma's shared prosperity government has reconstructed all the roads. Most major federal roads have been reconstructed as well. Owerri to Orlu and Owerri to Okigwe federal roads have been given proper attention. A journey from orlu to Owerri that takes hours formally now take less than one hour. His good works on road construction also affected the infamous Ekemeele junction which was formally impassable.
Governor Uzodimma's construction of solid roads can be seen and felt at Orlu road, Owerri Mbaise road, ideato road, MCC road, Relief market/ Chukwuman Nwoha road, and many more too numerous to mention.
Hon. Chief James Uba Esile also mentioned the House Of Assembly complex that was also reconstructed by Governor Hope Uzodimma to a world standard after being neglected by so many other government in the past. He highlighted that the dilapidated state of the complex and hallowed chambers became a thing of embarrassment to the legislative arm of the imo state government for a long time until The Action Governor came on board and erased the shame from their faces.
Amongst other remarkable achievements of Governor Uzodimma's are the rebuilding of the collapsed International Conference Centre which is in progress, The rebuilding of Ekeukwu Market which was demolished by the past government in September 2017, which is also on progress, the state Secretariat which has undergone total renovation and made more habitable and comfortable for civil servants to work in, the payment of thirteenth month salary to civil servants which was never in place, the recovery of K.O Mbadiwe state University which the former Governor diverted and claimed 90 percent of the shares, recovery of IBC quarters Orji and other thousands of plots of land grabbed by the past Government.
The member representing Onuimo State constituency therefore called his honorable colleagues to formally adopt Governor Hope Uzodimma as the Sole Candidate for Governor of Imo state come November 2023 Gubernatorial elections.
Supporting the motion, Honorable Members of House of Assembly including Minority Leader spoke extensively on Governor Hope Uzodimma's unequalled achievements in Transformation of Imo state and co concluded that he is Over qualified for second term describing him as Real Man with enormous capacity to confront Challenges and manage crisis in the State.

Comended Honorable Esile for the Motion and describe it as apt as Governor Hope Uzodinma has shown enormous capacity in his shared prosperity government by touching every nook and cranny of Imo state with dividends of democracy and that with these verifiable achievement, He deserves the Mandate of Imo people come November 11 2023 election.
Hon. Chief Sam Osuji representing Isiala Mbano state constituency described Governor Uzodimma as a well prepared leader who has a blueprint to transform imo state and has demonstrated his efficiency in getting the job done.
Hon. Engr. Innocent ikpamezie representing Mbaitoli Constituency noted that other leaders in South East have been applauding the excellent transformation being done in the State by Governor Hope Uzodimma despite all turbulence and Challenges sponsored by political opponents to distract his agenda such as unknown Gunmen menace etc.
Hon.Barrister Chisom Ojukwu( Oyinatumba) representing Nkwere state constituency stated in his remark that the House Of Assembly will be doing the people of Imo a great dis service if they did not Support the re election of Governor Hope Uzodimma for another four productive transformation years.
Honorable kelechi Ofurum representing Owerri North stated the Owerri North, having benefited more then every local government in the state will show their gratitude to the Governor by supporting his re Election election bid come November11 2023.
The minority leader Hon. Modestus representing Isu also in his remark declared his support to the motion stating that if Okigwe and Owerri wants Governor Hope Uzodimma back, why won't he support as The Governor is His brother from Orlu Zone.
Honorable Members from Owerri west, Ehime Mbano, Orsu, Ideato North, Owerri Municipal, Orlu, Oguta, Njaba, Ideato south and Ngor Okpala state constitutions also spoke in favor of the motion.
When the speaker Rt. Honorable Chike Olemgbe put the motion to vote, the ayes had it.
