People of Owerri zone have been charged to deliver the government of Shared prosperity of Governor Hope Uzodimma by voting massively in the November 11th 2023 Governorship election for them to enjoy the charter of equity being spearheaded by Imo Elders council and adopted by the people's Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
This Charge was made by the Owerri zonal Chairman of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) Chief Sir Justus Ogu,during a stake holders meeting held this weekend in Aboh Mbaise council Headquarters. Chief Ogu harped on the importance of unity of purpose ,the (APC) party leaders in Mbaise in particular and Owerri Zone in general to achieve a landslide victory for APC during the incoming November election. He advised that if they achieved victory for APC, it would be really easy for Owerri zone to achieve their own turn to rule in Douglas house come 2027. He reminded Owerri zone that if Okigwe zone surpasses Owerri zone at the polls, it will be difficult for Owerri to take their turn in Governance. " We must show evidence of performances at the end of the Polls to reap the Charter of Equity" he opined.
According to him " Charter of Equity can never be given to us on a platter of gold, we must work for it. " He then adviced the party executives to admit new members in Aboh Mbaise and Other Local governments in Owerri zone .
He further stressed the need for massive votes which will be achieved by the unity of Mbaise Aboh leaders, Mbaise nation and Owerri zone at large which will be a bargaining tool for 2027.
The active APC zonal Chairman who worked tirelessly in projecting the party in the entire Owerri zone, especially projecting the good works of the shared prosperity government of Senator Uzodimma, stated that the exit of Emeka Ihedioha from the race and also the decamping of some of PDP executives in the state will be an added advantage to APC and advised the Stakeholders to leverage on that advantage to mobilize the other members from Both PDP and other political parties to join the winning team as victory must surely come to APC come November 11th, 2023.
He said that other parties in Imo has collapsed and are scampering for safety, " please open the doors and allow them in. Don't joke with the oncoming Guber race" He stressed.
He admonished party leaders in Aboh Mbaise And other local government in Owerri to support their party Chairmen and avoid bringing petitions to demand for sack of fellow members.
He gladly informed the stakeholders of the defection of over 650 DPD member to APC in his last visit to ikeduru and challenged the Aboh Mbaise to surpass ikeduru by bringing in more people for preparation of November election.
The meeting witnessed the presence of the high and mighty in APC Aboh Mbaise which include Aboh Mbaise APC Chairman Chief Tony Awusaku, Barr. Ogechi Njoku, Solad Aboh Mbaise, Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, APC Campaign council Chairman Aboh Mbaise, Barr. Emma Njoku, former IMC Chairman, Nze Milo Olewuike, SA to the Governor, Chief Sir Emma Ogbonna, SA to the Governor, Sir Charley Ogu, APC Chieftain, All Local government Party Executives, Ward Chairmen, community leaders and other digitaries.
