As the dust raised by the gruesome killing of a traditional Monarch in imo state is yet to settle, Chairman of Imo state council Of traditional Rulers, Eze Emmanuel Okeke escaped death by whiskers as gunmen evaded his Palace.
This attempt on his life really worsened the insecurity situation in imo state to a frightening level.
Barely few days the state witnessed the killing of a tradition ruler in Aboh Mbaise in his Palace by yet to identified Gunmen, Eze Okeke was saved by the prompt and diligence intervention of the POlice and Local vigilante.
Confirming the incident, the state Police command said the the attack was foiled by its operatives who fought diligently and foiled the attack of these agent of terror that attacked the Monarch in his Amaifeke Palace in Orlu local government area on Tuesday.
ASP Henry Okoye who is the police spokes man clarified that it's unfortunate that a local security operative paid the supreme price from the gunshot wound he sustained in the attack and other two whose names are withheld for security reasons were also fatally wounded in the attack and are now receiving medical attention in an undisclosed hospital.
Okoye said that the stiff resistance by the joint security operatives forced the hoodlums to flee to the nearby bushes with various degree of gunshot injuries.
